Project Summary
 

Bouquet Shop is an online flower store that sells all types of flowers in bouquets, at affordable prices. The typical user is between 19-75 years old and most are career professionals. Bouquet Shop is designed to make shopping fun, fast, and easy for all types of users. The site allows users to shop for bouquets for any occasion with different styles, and gives users suggestions for mix and match, depending on a price point.

Problem Statement
 

Currently, the site has a busy design that sometimes feels a bit cluttered, isn’t very engaging, and needs to be improved for a better shopping experience

User interview
 

I searched again by conducting a simple survey using google form with some questions related to the needs and problems currently experienced while using Your Bouquet website .

We conducted user research and received feedback from users that we incorporated into user personas. For example, our user persona, Samuel, is a 32-year old accountant, full-time employee who shops online. The research revealed that Samuel was frustrated by cluttered navigation that made shopping confusing. Samuel would like to see improvements to the app, like bigger buttons, simple icons, and minimal design. Since Samuel shops flowers a couple times in the year, they would also like to see more options that suggest reminders of upcoming event date and allow them to remind of previous item that was bough

Pain points
 

From user research, we learned that there were some pain points for users. The two biggest issues were the size of buttons and the types of icons used on mobile devices. The small buttons caused users confusion. We solved this issue by making bigger buttons and the icons simpler. We also learned that users wanted a more enjoyable experience browsing for clothing. They commented that the site felt too busy. We solved this by making the homepage simple and engaging for the user by adding the premade bouquet carousel to bring specific items to the user’s attention. This made the browsing experience more enjoyable, which helped meet the user’s needs.

Persona
 

Busy shoppers of all genders and backgrounds who want to have a fast experience purchasing flowers from Bouquet Shop.

Thus, it can be concluded that the Your Bouquet user is a person who is quite technology literate and has a openminded  personality.

Here’s how we put our users’ needs first. The process below begins with our initial ideas of wireframes, then moves to mockups, and finally to the high-fidelity prototyp

LO-FI prototype 

In this simple version, you can see how the designer approaches solving the user’s needs. The headings are clearly listed. There are landmarks listed to show where things such as the shopping cart will be. There is a place for a carousel which will display premade bouquet, which gives the user an opportunity to browse for a more enjoyable user experience.

Almost 75% of the responders have a core need to use the Privat Bank application for finding and activating packages and so far they have done so with this process.
