Full weekLinear Equations II — Solving for x
A linear equation keeps the variable to the first power. To solve, you isolate x by doing the same operation to both sides until x stands alone.
Notice each line keeps the equation balanced — subtract 6 from both sides, then divide both sides by 3. The next exercise gives you three to try on your own.
